"While the end products are always beautiful, their deeper value lies in the conversations we create, the connections we build, and the legacy of relationships we foster along the way, often with transformative results."

- Jane Golden, Executive Director of PA Mural Works -

Have you been thinking of how to re-vamp your business space?  Wondering how to get your customers more engaged with your products or the spirit of your business services?

Have you been dreaming of giving your kids a totally transformed bedroom or playroom, one in which their imagination and creativity can leap off the walls?

Do you want to take advantage of a highly visible wall and market your product or business with signage?

Have you been wishing to have your favorite vacation spot transplanted into your indoor/outdoor living space?

Do you already have a mural that you love but it needs some TLC after years of weather damage or vandalism?

You need the services of a muralist!  With over 10 years of mural experience and 30 plus years painting fine art I can help you transform any of your spaces with a mural that can instantly energize or relax your atmosphere!

How to get a mural painted?

What to expect and what is the process?

  1. The first step is to contact me!  I can be reached by phone, email, my contact page and my Facebook Art Page.

  2. During this initial contact we will begin the discovery period where we discuss and explore your potential design.  You will be asked to provide the size of the area to be painted in terms of square footage.  If you are unsure of the square footage of your wall or walls you can easily calculate that by multiplying the length of the wall by the height of the wall.  This will give you the square footage of the area you wish to have painted.

  3. After this discovery period I will provide to you a written work estimate along with a contract for artist's services.

  4. Send the signed artist's services contract back to me along with the required "design-sketch fee".  This fee allows me to begin working on a generalized sketch or design concept for your mural...more about this process later.  The design-sketch fee is $50.00 and non-refundable.  Please see below for acceptable forms of payment.

  5. Design Process: During the design process I will provide 1-2 distinct design options depending on how concisely our discovery process elaborates.  Also depending on the style of the mural this sketch may be done with watercolors on paper, a pen/ink/marker sketch, photo references, and/or an inspiration/collage board.  I will present the design sketch to you and then absorb any feedback you may have.  I will integrate that feedback into the final design and in some cases provide a finalized new sketch.  It is important to understand that the design sketch is meant to be a guideline and not a literal translation of the final mural.  Much of the magic of a mural comes from intuitively feeling the space, the people that inhabit the space and the source inspiration.  Not all murals can translate from paper to wall.  Many times the best design decisions occur on-site with brush in hand in the midst of creation!  Knowing how to trust the artistic process will surely translate in the finished product.

  6. Mural Deposit: Once a final design is reached you will provide payment of the mural deposit.  This deposit is due 2 weeks prior to starting the mural as it allows for me to order supplies needed, schedule necessary equipment rentals and plan the project.

  7. Painting!  YAY!  You will finally see your dreams of a custom mural materialize!  I generally paint 6-7 hours per day depending on the local and scheduling permitted.  I will seek real-time feedback from you to ensure your vision is being realized and close to completion I will inform you as to what remaining details will be done in order to complete the mural.

  8. Final payment due upon completion.

How do I price my murals?

While it may seem like commissioning a mural for either a public or private space may be out of your budget I challenge you to contact me for an estimate!  I take pride on being able to work with many different budgets.  While it may be true that some aspects of mural pricing such as equipment rental and specialty supplies can substantially contribute to the cost, other aspects of the work may be able to be tweaked to fit your financial allowance.  I will always ask what your budget is during our discovery stage in order to create a design and process that helps make a mural affordable for you.

In order to price a mural I will need to understand the scope and size of the project.  Again, the discovery stage will help inform me of these details.  I do not charge strictly based on size and I do not charge strictly based on the level of difficulty.  Rather, it is a combination.  I calculate the level of difficulty based on the design, the size, and the types of materials being used.  This will inform me of the amount of time needed to complete the job.  In my written estimate I will include projections on material costs, equipment costs, travel costs (if necessary), and labor costs.  My goal is to be transparent with my pricing structure, accommodate the client's budget while also respecting my experience.

What forms of payment do I accept?

I accept payment via:

  • PayPal

  • GooglePay

  • Cashier's Check or Money Order

  • Personal or Business Checks accepted for deposits only.  Please note that personal checks will need to clear before work begins.

**If you are working with a non-profit organization, corporate sponsors, city municipalities, or grants please let me know and we can discuss payment proceedures.

Mural Restoration Services

Do you have an existing mural that needs repair but want to maintain the original look?

Give me a call!

Along with offering original mural designs I also offer restoration services.

With a restoration project the process is just about the same as the process of an original mural with the exception of the design process as I am not needing to create a new design.  Additionally, restoration projects typically start with a site-visit to inspect the extent of the repair needed. This allows me to get up close, take paint samples if needed, and fully realize the scope of the project before providing a written estimate.  If a site visit is not possible detailed photos will need to be provided by the client.

With any mural restoration the goal of my artwork is to replicate the original style, composition, and color palate.  Occasionally, a mural has been damaged so badly that some of the original elements are completely unrecognizable.  If the client does not have a photo of the original condition I may need to take minor creative liberties to intuitively correct the damages.

If you have a mural in need of repair my services will bring your mural back to it's glory days!

Here are a few of my mural restoration transformations.  Check out my gallery for more views of all of my restoration projects!
