About the Artist
Tamara Galia is a fine artist that concentrates on animal portraits along with mural and theater scenic art projects. She is a self taught artist who started painting around 5 years old and has since been crafting and selling art for over 26 years. While she started at an early age drawing and painting horses, dogs and people she always knew she also loved geometry and architectural design. She excelled in advanced art classes in high school, has been awarded at juried art shows and has had her work published. Tamara studied architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has morphed that design and drafting experience into a love of painting on a large scale. Since 2009 she has been painting original murals along with restoring existing murals. In 2011 she did her first work on a theater production and was immediately under the spell of theater scenic art. She has worked on over 16 productions including the award winning production of "Grease", " Noises Off" and "Queens Castle". The set work she did for "Hero's Must Die" was streamed live at San Antonio PAX South.
Tamara works out of North Texas. She accepts private commissions within the U.S. and will travel for mural or theater work.
